We have lots of exciting events planned for children and families over the next couple of months. But before I outline those I want to share with you about our latest Messy Church.
In case you are not aware, messy church is a chance for parents and children to come along together and explore a Bible story or some theme of the Christian faith through crafts and games and a short time of worship. It is called Messy because it is often a bit messy as our tools include glue and paints and things like that but also because it is particularly helpful for those at the messy edges of church life. That said, it is a very helpful way for us all to see things in a slightly different light.
Our theme on this occasion was water and we made raindrop biscuits, a hand print rainbow, faces with hair that would grow when watered (grass seed) a fishing game and blue play-dough. This was followed by a time reflecting on water in the Bible from Noah to Jesus' cry that he would pour out the water of life. A good time was had by all. Please come and look at our rainbow in the children’s corner in Holy Trinity.

Looking ahead to the summer:

Jungle Jamboree -Summer Club for primary school aged children on 29-31 August in the Parish Church. Invite any children that you know and be ready to volunteer. We need volunteers for all sorts of tasks - directly with the children or with crafts, drama or refreshments at the time or before-hand, preparing props and scenery. Please contact Catherine Montgomery (montgomeryfamily@btinternet.com 01453 791118 or leave a message with the parish office) to volunteer or for more information
