Parish Church Restoration

2009/10

Work on the Parish Church completed as planned at Easter 2010. Discussion has now begun as to whether to keep the original nave pews or to replace them with either more modern pews or wooden chairs.

A new sound system has been installed and the new look, together with the new sound and a newly rebuilt organ makes this church one of the finest in our country.

A great feeling of space has been created.

Thousands of pipes were delivered ready for fitting.

Meanwhile work beganto restore the Monox Tomb
which lay as a stone jig-saw. It would eventually be
rebuilt in a new position as it was (right).
