Bookings
Our churches and halls are used for many different events apart from services. They are well used by the community. Events range from birthday party celebrations to world famous orchestras.
Managing all these events, as well as the range of church services, can become quite complex so it is essential that potential hirers or those wanting to book a baptism, wedding or funeral contact Howard or Katie at the Parish Office in order to obtain the appropriate form.
Our churches are popular venues for baptisms (christenings) and for weddings. Now that the Parish Church's restoration is almost completed the church provides a magnificent environment but baptims can take place in any of the three churches.
Once the completed form is received back at the Office then events are put into the schedule.
As people progress in the Christian faith, there may come a time when they wish to make a declaration of faith and become confirmed by the Bishop. If anyone wishes to take this step of faith then please contact Howard at the Parish Office. Information about the Confirmation course is found on the link to the left.
The Baptism preparation course is listed here on the website (see baptisms in the links, top left) as well as what Confirmation involves.
Details about how to book an event are given on the linked pages but it is always worth contacting the Parish Office with your enquiry and talking with members of the administrative team.
We run our own tours regularly throughout the year - some in the morning, some in the afternoon. These are led by members of the Parish Church guides. Other organisations often visit, too, bringing their own leaders but if a group would like a guide to help them see more of the church, then, again, please contact Howard at the Office.
Currently there are tours of the restoration of the South Porch.
