The Churches in the Parish

If you are visiting Cirencester then a visit to the Parish Church is essential. There are tours available, which can be booked through the Parish Office, and an opportunity to see the newly refurbished Father Wllis organ. The church, as a 'wool church' is steeped in history.

Whether you visit for a service, attend a concert, are visiting to admire the architecture, are here to learn something of the history of the Parish, or simply to spend time in quiet, we pray that you will feel nearer to God and enjoy His peace.

Through the links on the left, you can explore the pages which tell a little about the history of the churches but nothing can replace an actual visit.

At the Parish Church, the welcoming stewards can talk with you about the church and guide you to leaflets and booklets that will give a more detailed explanation of its features.

On this page you can also find pages of information about Holy Trinity, a Gilbert Scott church, together with the history of this lovely church right from the beginning, through the courtesy of Mr Tony Clack, whose guide to the Church is available there.

The third church in our group is St Lawrence Church Centre which is the newest, built in 1951 through the generous gifts of local people. As a dual purpose church/hall, it is well used and supported by the community.
