Silence
Some people will want some silence and others will want to talk at various times. Both need to respect the other’s needs. I suggest that if anyone goes into the downstairs sitting room it means they are ‘up for chat’, and of course outside in the grounds, where walking is great. There is a very good cafeteria in the grounds with a selection of Belgian beers etc). We are asked NOT to use the upstairs ‘Living’ for chat, as others may be on retreat with us.
