Looking at Christ
Leader: David Hoyle (Director of Ministry, Diocese of Gloucester)
Welcome and Host: Hugh Dickenson 24 people
We are ‘Christians’ because our faith does not rest on a book, nor on trying to be good, nor on visions in the night. We are ‘Christians’ because we believe that God has shown himself to us in the one form we can best recognise, He has shown himself as a human being: as Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ, as St Paul explained, is the one thing we need to know. In this four week course, in which there will be plenty of time for questions and conversation, we will creep up gently on theology and history by exploring what the Church has said about Christ in scripture, in worship, in art and in literature.
